Image Gallery Closing
19th December

As the last posting date is the 20th December, I will be calling last orders on Monday morning and closing down the Image Gallery until the New Year! Over the Christmas period I will be upgrading the gallery shopping cart, introducing new products and moving all previous events into the archive.  Images can still be ordered but you will have to make sure to get the image number now before they disappear.  There are still a few Q-Points that have not been claimed so you only have a few days left in which to do so. Once the gallery is closed all points will be re-set for the 2012 season.

Have a good Christmas and here’s looking forward to a great New Year….

Colette’s Indoor Show Jumping
at Willow Farm

With such a miserable start to the day, I wondered just how many people would attend Colette’s Christmas show at Willow Farm.  I needn’t have worried, with sherry, mince pies and plenty of festive tunes on offer, each class had enough competitors to give stiff competition for those top rosettes and sashes.  My apologies to those who were kept waiting to order their photos – my printer wasn’t playing very nicely today – probably due to the damp  conditions. However, you can still order off the website (below) and get your prints in time for Christmas.

Colette’s Evening Indoor Show Jumping
at Willow Farm

Another night at Willow Farm but this time it was very quiet…  John wasn’t there!

Cathy stepped in to ‘man’ the door, put up the jumps and organise the competitors so the evening went rather swiftly and I was home earlier than usual. This gave me time to have a play with some of my images. Now, I’m not a big fan of black & white equestrian photos but since I’ve been using the back light I thought I’d give it a try. What do you think?

All the photos are here
and there will be a few more b&w’s on my Facebook page soon!

Moat View RC Team Jumping
at Limes Farm

It was a last minute decision to attend Limes Farm and I’m so glad I did. I was fully prepared to have to light the indoor arena but I was pleased to see it being held outdoors despite the dull & damp weather when I arrived.  I was even more pleased to see the sun appear after a couple of hours which gave me some more incredible light to capture the action with.

Pics came in the post yesterday, they are brilliant thank you so much!

Colette’s Indoor Dressage
at Willow Farm

I’ve got to admit, I wasn’t looking forward to attending Willow Farm again today. The same old shots in the same  dark arena, pushing my camera’s limits to the max in an effort to make the same half decent shots that I’ve done for the same riders many times before. I was seriously considering keeping the camera in the bag today, having a cuppa with John & Colette, and going home! Then, I saw the light…..

… this lovely warm glow from the low sun, catching the riders as they warmed up for their test in the outdoor ring. I just couldn’t resist! I spent the next hour or so just sitting in the corner catching the riders as they came toward me. I must have made more headshots in that hour than I had done all season. When the sun finally disappeared, I experimented with a few flash lit portraits by the arena door. Not just the horses but a cute labrador, a not so cute steward and a random competitor. I even snapped a pig on the way back to my car.
The pig is the last shot – just to avoid any confusion… lol
