Colette’s Winter
Showjumping Championships
at Willow Farm

Originally included as part of today’s Farming World schedule which was postponed until 10th June because of the weather, the Winter Showjumping Championships were moved to Willow Farm.  However, the intense rain not only persisted throughout the night but well into midday with the sun only appearing once we were all finished.  Although this drastically reduced the attendance, it did create a formidable collection of riders determined to get that winner’s sash.

I didn’t want to open up the display screens with all that water around so there are no Facebook pictures today but all the images taken can be viewed on-line by clicking here….

Blossom Ride
at Wytherling Court, Molash

I’ve been asked to attend the Molash rides a couple of times in the past but I’ve always been previously booked. I’m so glad I had a free Sunday this time as it was a total pleasure to be a part of it. The location is stunning, the ride organisers are extremely helpful (a special thank you to David who advised on the best location for me to be) and, to top it all, the weather held off long enough for everyone to get back safe, sound and DRY!

Colette’s Indoor Dressage Championships
at Willow Farm

I hadn’t planned on going to the dressage today until, that is, I found out that it was the championships. Lots of you wanted photos taken of their test which meant I spent most of my time in the arena and missing the occasional rain shower. It was also nice to catch up with Sue Kennett who won her class on Taman Kaestindo. Well done Sue!

Isle of Sheppey Pony Club
Team & Individual Jumping
at Marshlands Farm,

We always look forward to visiting the Isle of Sheppey Pony Club’s events because we just know it’s going to be well attended, run like clockwork and yet still maintain that relaxed family atmosphere.  I think we took a record amount of photos today – well over two thousand – so it’s going to take a little longer than usual to get them processed and posted in our gallery.  So, unless you are a night owl, I suggest checking back here in the morning to look over the day’s images.  As soon as the gallery is live, so will the links be below…

Braeside Annual Sponsored Ride
at Braeside Equestrian Centre

Yet again the weather tries to claim another worthy Bank Holiday equestrian event but the riders at Braeside Equestrian Centre were not going to be deterred that easily.  Facing the prospect of gale force winds and lashing rain, they set off on time (mostly) for their sponsored ride in aid of the Kent based Search and Rescue Dog unit NSARDA CANTEC.  And, by the looks on their faces when they returned, they enjoyed every minute of it. Some of them even had enough energy to go round the jumping fences several times for good measure so I made sure I also captured those last few minutes of their day out on camera.
